50 teams, 200 competitors, more than 10 simultaneous courts and a schedule full of activations, prize draws and lots of music for a day to remember.
On April 25th, the Club Internacional de Tenis de Madrid will transform into much more than a tennis club: it will be the meeting point for brands, artists, creatives, athletes, media and communities that understand sport as a form of cultural connection. Following its previous editions in Madrid and Ibiza, the 2026 edition represents a major leap in professionalization, structure and ambition.
With 50 teams, 200 competitors, more than 10 active courts, live music, brand activations, a VIP area, an afterparty and a production designed as a complete experience, MINI OPEN doesn't revolve solely around the competition, but around the community.

1. THE Concept
It's a reinterpretation of amateur tennis where each team represents an identity, a community and a way of understanding contemporary culture.
Here, brands, media, creative collectives, artists, athletes and friends compete, turning the court into an extension of their own universe.
Tennis is the excuse. The community is the true goal.

2. The Location — Madrid as a meeting point
The 2026 edition takes place in Madrid, establishing the city as the epicenter of this community that blends sport, culture and lifestyle.
The Club Internacional de Tenis de Madrid will be the setting that brings together more than 10 active courts, a players' area, swimming pool, hospitality, VIP space, DJ booth, brand activations and a center court designed as the visual and sporting heart of the event.
It's not just a venue: it's an experience built around tennis.
3. The Format — 50 teams, a single day and a grand final
MINI OPEN is played over a single day.
50 teams are split into 10 groups of 5 teams, in an initial round robin phase followed by a knockout final phase.
Qualifying:
– The winners of each group
– The 6 best runners-up
In total, 16 teams advance to the round of 16.
Each match between teams is played to the best of 3 sets:
– Set 1: Singles
– Set 2: Doubles
– Set 3: Singles
During the group stage:
– Tie-break to 8
– Golden point
– Maximum 40 minutes per match
From the round of 16 to the final:
– Super tie-break to 10
– No time limit
4. The Previous Editions
MINI OPEN has grown quickly in a very short time.
The first edition was born in Madrid in 2024, establishing a new way of understanding amateur tennis through culture and community.
Then came a second edition in Madrid, confirming that the concept had legs and a real community behind it.
The expansion continued with the Ibiza edition, taking the project to a new, more lifestyle-oriented context and reinforcing the idea that MINI OPEN is not just a tournament, but a platform.
In 2026, the calendar takes another step forward:
• Madrid — April 25th
• Ibiza — October 2026
• Grand Final — location to be announced
The goal is no longer a single event, but building a community.
5. The Awards
Beyond the sporting title, MINI OPEN keeps an important part of its identity in the parallel awards that are part of the event's spirit.
During the final ceremony, categories such as the following are also recognized:

• Best Team Outfit
• Worst Team
